Such a cold January…and the perfect winter background is delicious food, fire, a blanket, friends and of course, a glass of wine. Alcohol raises the temperature and gives us company on cold winter days.

Below we combine three red wines of Domaine Skouras to keep us warm, with great winter food and meats.

Megas Oenos

80% Agiorgitiko, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
Fermented and macerated in stainless steel vats. Full malolactic fermentation in oak and maturation in new French barriques for 18 months and in bottle a further 6 months.Ripe red fruits, blackberries, cherries, morello cherries, cloves, sweet spices, tobacco. Smart, elegant, complex.

Grande Cuvée Nemea

100% Agiorgitiko Nemea PDO
Fermented and macerated in stainless steel vats. Full malolactic fermentation in oak and maturation in new French barriques for 12 months and in bottle for a further 6 months. Red fruits, blackberries, plums, spices, a metallic tone, vanilla, accented acidity, ripe tannins.

Grande Cuvée Nemea likes fatty meats

  • Roast lamb
  • Roast pork
  • Risotto with mushrooms

Synoro

40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 20% Agiorgitiko
Fermentation and long post-fermentation maceration in stainless steel vats. Full malolactic fermentation and ageing in French barriques for 13 months and in bottle for a further 6 months. Red cherries, morello cherries, liqueur crème de cacao, cinnamon, cedar, abundant and elaborate mouth.
