Portes Cabernet Sauvignon


Portes Cabernet Sauvignon- an important piece of the course of Greek wine. From the first love of the world for the international varieties until its turn to the Greek varieties. The first bottling of the wine was done at 1996 harvest and the last at 2016.

The vineyards are located in mountainous Corinth at 650m. and planted in 1994.

Portes Cabernet Sauvignon matures by 50% in second use French barrels for 8 months, and ages after bottling for 6 months in the cellar of the winery.

Originally the color is deep ruby. The nose has intensity and depth with dominant aromas of black currant, raspberry, allspice, and notes of cedar, tobacco and wild herbs follow. The palate is of medium body, balanced with mature tannins. The aftertaste is of medium duration and complexity.
